Prevention is Key for All Ages

Our team prioritizes preventive dental care. We teach patients proper brushing and flossing techniques and provide regular cleanings and exams to lower the risk of serious oral health problems. Without regular cleanings and solid brushing habits, gum disease, periodontitis, and infections can lead to bone and tooth loss.

We want to help your family maintain healthy and beautiful smiles for life with a complete offering of services, including:

Dental Care for Children

A child’s dental health is constantly evolving, and so are their dental needs. Children should have consistent dental care as they grow to track tooth health and development.

It is important to look for signs of cavity and decay and monitor jaw development to promote a healthy and well-developed bite as they grow. Our friendly staff will take the time to answer any questions you may have and can educate you on ways to help your child protect their dental health at home.

Dental Services for Teens and Young Adults

Once all permanent teeth are in place, Dr. Jones focuses on providing long-term care and addressing any current health issues. The teen and young adult years are a great time to consider treatment for misalignment; teens and young adults with mild to moderate alignment issues may be good candidates for clear braces.

Teeth whitening is also a simple cosmetic procedure that is quite popular among teens and young adults, especially for large social events and special occasions.

Maintaining Optimal Oral Health for Adults

If you are between the ages of 25-55, your dental services will most likely include restorations. The purpose of restorative dentistry is to bring your smile back to optimal health.

When teeth have been lost or damaged by tooth decay, it impacts not only that tooth but your entire dental health. By addressing the problem quickly using gentle, modern techniques, we can preserve your dental health and help you to feel more confident about your smile.

Dr. Jones takes great care to understand the nature of your overall dental concerns and your health history to help you find the treatment that is best suited to you. The restorative dental services we provide include:

Dental Implants: An effective and permanent replacement for missing teeth. These look and function like natural teeth, and because they are anchored into the jaw bone, they help prevent the loss of bone mass.

Fixed Bridges: Bridges can replace up to three teeth by anchoring the tooth replacement(s) to neighboring teeth, which are fitted with crowns to act as supports.

Full & Partial Dentures: Can replace missing teeth in groups, up to a full arch. Modern dentures are designed to look natural and fit comfortably in the mouth, restoring dental function and confidence.

Porcelain Crowns: Prosthetic caps can be matched to your surrounding teeth for dental protection that looks, feels, and functions just like a natural tooth.

Composite Fillings: These restorations are shaded to match your enamel, preserving your tooth from decay without detracting from the aesthetics of your smile.

Cosmetic Services for Teens & Adults

Most of us have something about our smile; we’ve wished we could change. With cosmetic dentistry, the smile you desire is achievable.

Dr. Jones can help everyone enjoy a striking smile, from older teens through adulthood. From whiter teeth to a complete smile transformation, our cosmetic services are both comprehensive and effective.

Orthodontic Treatments for a Stellar Straight Smile

Crooked teeth, gaps, and overcrowding can have a negative impact on the health of your smile and can leave you feeling self-conscious. Orthodontic treatments are great services that not only improve oral health but also boost confidence. Whether you are a teen or an adult, having a smile, you are proud of can improve your quality of life.

You may feel reluctant to commit to traditional wire and bracket metal braces. Clear Correct® offers a comfortable and convenient alternative to standard braces that can correct mild to moderate alignment issues without interrupting your normal routine.

Clear aligners are custom-made from 3D technology and designed to apply gentle pressure to specific areas over the planned treatment time. Every two weeks, you will receive a new set of aligner trays that will gradually straighten your smile.

Benefits of Straightening Teeth with Clear Aligners

There are many reasons why more and more patients are turning to clear braces over traditional metal ones. Consider how these benefits can improve your experience and your smile!

Comfort: The aligner trays form to your smile, with nothing poking your gums or soft tissue. You may even forget you are wearing braces at all!

Convenience: The removable aligners allow you to enjoy a normal lifestyle without having to change your diet or normal brushing and flossing habits.

Discreteness: The invisible aligners are all but undetectable to others, so you are free to flash your smile in photos or at special events without feeling uncomfortable.

Brighten Your Newly Aligned Smile with Zoom®

Smiling young woman with perfect white teeth

Whether you have just completed orthodontic treatment or just want to combat the effects of time and coffee, Zoom is a powerful way to whiten your teeth by up to eight shades.

As an in-office service at our practice, you can conveniently receive treatment and return to your daily activities in about an hour. For those who want Zoom quality from the comfort of their home, our practice also provides a take-home variation of this proven treatment. We include both the gel and custom trays and walk you through the proper steps to whiten your teeth at home.

We strive to accommodate the whitening needs of all our patients - teens, adults, or seniors - and offer constant support when you need assistance.

When to Choose Professional Whitening:

  • After having braces removed
  • To color-match treatment with veneers
  • When you want long-lasting results

Zoom whitening treatment is combined with an activation light to enhance the process. The light helps break up stains and oxidize the enamel for a more brilliant white color.

With the help of our experienced team, you can be confident that your whole smile is evenly whitened, and to the shade that best matches your complexion. Patients can trust the Zoom treatment, which is safe and proven, although some may experience minor sensitivity to heat.

Whitening is not invasive and an easy way to make your smile brighter for important life events, such as proms, weddings, or job interviews.

Additional Restoration Options with CEREC Same-Day Crowns

Dental crowns are important restorations that help to renew teeth with structural or aesthetic damage. While waiting for a traditional dental crown can take weeks, Dr. Jones is a Billings, Montana CEREC dentist who can treat your smile in just one appointment.

Our one-visit dental crowns are made using chairside software and milling technology, so you get a beautifully restored smile in as little time as possible.

The CEREC system allows Dr. Jones to take digital images of a damaged tooth, import those high-resolution images into advanced computer software, and use them to fabricate your permanent dental crown out of a solid block of porcelain, all right in our office.

This entire process only takes between 1-2 hours – significantly lower than the time you have to spend waiting for traditional crowns, which is typically around two weeks. Quicker high-quality restorations are something that each member of your family can benefit from and appreciate!

Dental Care for Seniors

When we reach the golden years, we face unique challenges to our oral health. Our bodies are less able to fight off infection, and certain illnesses or side effects of medications can impact dental health.

Dr. Jones provides thorough care and monitoring for seniors, examining for tooth decay, gum disease, jaw bone loss, and other age-related health factors. Our practice offers a suite of dental restorations, from fillings and crowns to dental implants, and will do whatever is needed to help seniors maintain a healthy and functioning smile.

As we age, our teeth and gums change, and one common change is that the gums recede, gradually exposing the sensitive roots. Certain medications can reduce saliva production, which causes dry mouth and can further increase the risk of damage to gums and teeth.

Fortunately, some products and treatments can help alleviate these problems. During your visit, talk to Dr. Jones and share your concerns so we can address these issues.

Our dental services for seniors include:

Restorative care is important for seniors, and Dr. Jones can help you have a great quality of life by offering conservative options and preventive care to maintain optimal oral health.

Comfortable Treatment For All with IV Sedation

Dental phobia or anxiety can prevent you from getting the care you need to protect your smile. At Wicks Dental Clinic, we offer sedation dentistry to provide a relaxing experience for all ages.

Sedatives are used to establish a relaxed, easy, and calm state and administered in a variety of ways.

Nitrous Oxide: Also known as laughing gas, nitrous oxide is an inhalant administered continuously to maintain a sustained level of sedation while undergoing treatment. This sedation option is easily processed by the body, allowing many patients to experience few to no side effects.

Oral Conscious Sedation: Taken in pill form just before your appointment, this prescription sedative has an amnesiac effect that lets you fully relax before and during treatment.

Intravenous (IV) Sedation: This method of sedation is directly injected into a vein by our trained professional. This technique provides deeper sedation where you are still awake but less aware of the procedure. The depth of sedation can be controlled during the treatment for more precise delivery and instant effects.

With sedation treatment, more complex procedures can be done at one time, reducing the need for multiple visits. A comfortable experience ensures you feel confident about coming in more often, which means we can address problems early and avoid the need for more complex treatments later.
